Sick Policy! Switching Shifts!

Hey Team!

Sick Policy:
As cold and flu season is upon us and we have already had a lot of call outs I think it's best to remind/educate everyone on the sick policy. We must stick to a strict policy because we do handle food here. If you call out sick you are required to follow the following steps...

1. Notify a director/shift lead via CALLING the store as soon as possible (min 2 hours before shift).
2. Find a cover
3. Provide a doctors note upon return to work that clears you to return to work. (If you are able to find a cover and are out for less then 24 hours this is not required)

If you cannot find a cover AND do not provide a doctors note disciplinary action will be taken. If you can provide a doctors note we will find you a cover if needed but would appreciate your help in doing so. Please see Ashley Smith with any questions. Thank you.

Switching and Covering Shifts:
The best way to avoid having to switch or change a shift is by requesting off the time you need off to begin with. Please note that the cut off to request off is Tuesday at midnight of the week before.

To switch or cover a shift follow these steps...
1. Find someone of equal level on the team ex) if you are a shift leader it must be a shift leader. If you are on Drivethru team (coming soon) they must be on Drivethru team)
2. Be sure the switch would not put anyone into overtime 40+
3. Have your switch approved by Ashley if available or any other Director in person, via team app, or on the phone during a non busy time
4. Who ever is initiating the switch or cover must be the one to seek approval
5. Once the shift is approved a director or shift leader must change it on the paper schedule with the initials of the approving director
6. Once you have agreed to change and it has been marked on the schedule you are now responsible for that shift. No take backs
